Many people who lead busy lives do not have time to come home and prepare a healthy meal. Many times, frozen processed food takes the place of healthier meals due to lack of time. By the time you get home from work you are likely so exhausted that you do not feel like spending another hour or two in the kitchen cooking a well balanced meal.
On my visit, I was fortunate to catch the happy hour/late-night-bites, menu and ordered from the chef's grill. I stuck with the tacos. They were not only environmentally-conscious, local-ingredient-filled, but more so, delicious. I know my tacos. I had two taco chicken and one chef's choice of meat, which happened to be pork. I loved the idea of locally farmed ingredients, and surprise me with choice of meat option. The flavor did not disappoint.
Mrs. W. ordered a pork tamale and a carne asada taco, and I had a pork tamale and a taco chicken. With drinks, lunch for two came to a grand total of $11.50.
For lamb to fall off the bone, it needs to be slow cooked in the oven for at least 3-4 hours. Because I'm at work all day, I don't feel that it's safe leaving the oven on. Enter the slow cooker chicken taco, it's a great way to get a flavourful cooked meal with minimal preparation. I feel that this is the fastest and most efficient way to have a hearty and flavoursome dinner prepared in just 20 mins. The catch is that while you are work, your dinner is cooking away, ready when you come home.
Have a Cooking Day: A great way to cook faster is to have a day where you prepare either several dishes or other necessary cooking for the week. Some weeks, I'll even make one or two meals chicken taco indian style go ahead and separate it into individual portions if we are going to have a very busy week and I know I will not have time to cook.
